A Pledging Option
Direct pledge payments from your bank account could make your busy life a little simpler. At your request, the church can deduct the payment of your pledge from your bank account monthly.
To set up direct pledge payments, complete an authorization form which gives Bangor Savings Bank permission to deduct the amount you specify from your account at any bank monthly and deposit that amount into the church bank account. You may change or cancel your automatic donation any time by notifying the church office in writing. The amount deducted will be shown on your bank statement with the designation "All Souls Church" as though you had written a check.
Church members who have taken advantage of direct pledge payments report that the process is easy and secure. Some say they appreciate being able to pay their church pledge when they are out of town or unable to attend church.
The church can also accept debit card or credit card payments though these payments cost the church 2-3% of the transaction and reduces your gift or pledge by that percentage. This is why we encourage electronic transfer of funds. But if credit or debit cards are more convenient for you, we will be happy to accomodate you.
