Local Outreach

What Do We Do?

All Souls Congregational Church is proud to be constantly serving our local community.

We are at the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen serving meals to the homeless two times each month.

We joined with 8 other churches in the Bangor Area in 2013 to launch the Greater Bangor Street Pastor Initiative which sends teams out onto the downtown streets every Friday night to be in conversation with the people they encounter, helping them out in small ways if they can. All Souls has several members taking part as street pastors and as prayer pastors supporting these efforts. This program began in the United Kingdom and we are only the second Street Pastors Initiative in the United States.

We are a covenant partner with Habitat for Humanity, meaning that we send people, money, and prayers for each project.

Want to Get Involved?

Just give us a call at 207-942-7354 to inquire about the next service event. Also, keep checking our community calendar. We often have opportunities for volunteers of all ages, and you don't need to be a member of our congregation to join us in service!

In 8th-12th Grade?

Check out Assist-JC for fulfilling service trips both domestically and internationally!
