ASSIST-JC 2017 Dominican Republic Mission Trip

Dear All Souls Family,

A few of our All Souls members are getting ready for their mission trip to the Dominican Republic. They will be taking extra luggage filled with needed items for the medical clinics and for the Haitian families. Haitians travel across the border to get work in the Dominican Republic. In doing so they have lost their Haitian citizenship, are very poor, and are discriminated against. Our All Souls members will be working in the Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana (started by Haitian and American volunteers) and in the Bateyes (camps in the sugar cane fields) on construction projects, providing medical clinics, and delivering donated food to the families of Haitian sugar cane workers.

Donations are greatly needed for this mission trip. Please see the list of requested items below and bring what you can into the church office by Sunday, February 19th. If you would like a pickup or if you have any questions you can call Jane at 207.989.0007.

Gifts of Money is also very much appreciated to cover the fee for extra luggage, for building materials, additional medical and hygiene supplies, and to purchase food for the families. Checks should be made payable to All Souls Church with DR Mission in the memo line.
