While summer is still in full swing and construction continues on our new Administrative and Education Building, there is plenty happening at All Souls this August. We hope you'll join us for worship, fellowship, service, and fun as we enjoy these final weeks of summer together.

Our summer worship schedule continues with services at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. On August 2, we welcome Rev. Rebekah Timms to the pulpit, and Rev. Chad Poland returns on August 9. Childcare is available in the Vestry for infants through age 4, and children in PreK through 6th grade are invited to participate in Summer Sunday School during worship. Be sure to stay afterward for Coffee Hour and fellowship.

Also on Sundays in August, church member Sally Kirkpatrick will be offering After-Church Yoga from 11:00 a.m. to noon in the Vestry. Through movement and breathwork, yoga can be a meaningful way to care for body, mind, and spirit. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome. Free-will donations will benefit ASSIST-JC. Please RSVP here.

If you're staying after worship during the first three Sundays of the month, consider helping bag socks for the York Street Sock Garden, an easy and meaningful service project.

August also brings several special events:
  • Men's Breakfast 2.0: August 3, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Dave Fenderson's home in Brewer, please RSVP to Dave at fendersondm@gmail.com
  • Bangor Men's Breakfast: August 7, 7:00 a.m. at Governor's in Bangor
  • Vacation Bible School: August 17 -21 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., register your K-5th grader here!
  • Church Ladies Supper: August 20, 5:30 p.m. at Pepper's Landing in Old Town, RSVP to Brenda Gammon by August 17th, sadiesuejune@gmail.com
  • After-Church Picnic: August 23 at Rex and Renee Garrett's camp in Deer Isle. Bring your own picnic and something to share for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and summer fun. Carpooling is encouraged as parking may be limited. If possible, RSVP so the host families have an idea of numbers.
  • Gardener's Garden Tours: August 25th, meet at All Souls at 9:00 a.m. Join us for a delightful morning exploring the beautiful gardens of some of All Souls’ talented gardeners.

Our gardeners continue to meet Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m., and Retired Women Living Alone gathers each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Vestry.

We also continue collecting laundry detergent, dish detergent, shampoo, and bar soap for Eastport's Labor of Love Food Pantry.

Looking ahead, Sunday worship will return to 10:00 a.m. beginning September 6, and we'll celebrate the start of a new program year with a special Welcome Back Fair on September 13.

Until then, we hope you'll enjoy the beauty of God's creation, find time to rest and recharge, and join us whenever you can. We look forward to seeing you at All Souls this August! ☀️🌿🙏
