Our ASSIST JC team is gearing up for our 5th trip to Guatemala since beginning our relationship with the community in 2013. The team consists of 23 individuals including high school students, college students, and adults! We will work with Mission Discovery and the Kairos school to build three houses, work to support the school through some teaching opportunities, and provide food deliveries for several families in the area.
We depart from Bangor on June 17th and will return in the wee hours of the morning on June 26th! We are confident that once again this trip will provide not only memories that will last a lifetime but also a chance to experience what it is to live in a Christian community and serve God’s children in another part of the world.
Thank you for your support this year and your prayers for our team!

Join us for a hands-on mending workshop! Bring sewing supplies and an item in need of repair. Sally Kirkpatrick will guide the mending and share tips as well as Christian reflection on mending. Mending clothes isn’t just practical—it’s meaningful. Repairing what’s torn saves money, reduces waste, and creates something unique and beautiful. Even more, it reminds us of God’s grace: choosing restoration over discard, hope over despair. Just as we mend garments, God mends our bro
