Preparing Our Hearts: Advent Begins November 30th

As we enter the season of Advent at All Souls, beginning Sunday, November 30th, we embrace a time of waiting, hope, and preparation. Advent invites us to pause amid the business of life and reflect on the promise of hope, peace, joy, and love.

Each week of Advent carries a special theme that guides our journey. Join us throughout the season as we prepare our hearts and homes for the coming of Christ, embracing these themes and living them out in our community and beyond.

Advent Readers and Candlelighters

Throughout this season of Advent, we will have active members from our feeding ministries share the Advent message and light our Advent candles. These readers represent both our own ministries—such as the Coordinating Committee, Feeding the Flock, and Makers of Meals (MoMs)—and our partners in the community, including Good Shepherd Food Bank, Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen, and Jericho Road.

These volunteers and ministries embody what we at All Souls believe in: showing up for our neighbors, supporting those in need, and living out our call to serve. Their presence during Advent reminds us that the light we celebrate is not only symbolic—it shines through acts of compassion and care in our community every day. We offer our heartfelt thanks to these volunteers and to the entire All Souls community for your ongoing support of these vital ministries. ❤️
